WOW is an acronym for Women on Weights. This has been a form of exercise
that has changed my body strength, built muscle, improved my balance and in concert with other
forms of exercise has reduced muscle aches.
Recently, I stepped off a curb which was
coated with ice. With books held in both arms, feet airborne I was able to regain my balance without a fall. My
core strength achieved through WOW and
Pilates coalesced into saving me from a fall which could have resulted in multiple injuries. Weight lifting has given
me improved muscular strength; it has increased my upper body musculature which gave me better physical form.
The process of working in a group of women whose ages vary widely, who have a common goal of fitness and who have
a marvelous sense of humor reignites a spirit of energy, fun and strength.
